For the past 5 years, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and Lou Cimalore have been providing an amazing service to the HDCSL Community... Through their online shop (enchantedesert) on Half.com they have been taking donated books and other items and selling them - with all proceeds (including shipping costs) going to benefit HDCSL.  If you would like to participate in this program, here is how it works:

To Donate Used Books, CDs and Movies:

 

• There is a Drop-Off Box located in the back of the HDCSL Social Hall
• Lou and Marilyn pick these items up and post them online on their Enchantedesert online shop.
• Half.com takes 15% when and if the book sells.  
• The buyer pays the purchase price plus the shipping charges. 
• 100% of the purchase price and 100% of the shipping charges go into HDCSL's account. 

Marilyn and Lou maintain the "bookstore" in their home, print out the sales, wrap the books for mailing and take them to the post office.
The Cimalores cover the cost of mailing supplies and postage to ship the books as their contribution to HDCSL.

The books that do not sell online are offered for sale in our social hall.  The books that do not sell there are stored until May, when we have a joint sale with the ACSL.  Any books remaining after that sale are donated to a worthy cause.

Please continue to bring in your used books and remind your friends to remember the HDCSL Used Bookstore when they clean out their bookshelves, also!
